The community is invited to celebrate the grand opening of Double Bluff Recreation Area on Thursday, June 4, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at 2323 Highway 67 in Jonesville. The day will begin with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony welcoming residents and visitors to the new outdoor recreation space designed to encourage family fun, community connection, and appreciation for the area’s natural beauty. Additional activities throughout the day will include family-friendly programs and educational experiences, including a birds of prey presentation by Owl’s Roost Wildlife Education at Noon and the “Mandala Moments” Nature Walk from 3:00–5:00 p.m., where participants will explore the natural surroundings near Lineberry Creek and the Yadkin River through guided observation and sensory engagement.
